Welcome to Friendology 101! Maybe you’ve heard of it before or maybe it’s a new concept to you, nevertheless here’s what we are all about. Friendology has been a part of the LPS well-being curriculum for over a year now and what wonders it has done! Friendology teaches children how to make, maintain and problem solve in friendships. Have you had a Friendship Fire? Don’t worry we’ve got you covered with our I Messages and Problem Solving Wheel. Need to make some new friends? We’ve learnt how to be super introducers, ask and pass and ask quick questions. We also have the 4 Friendship facts which teaches us:

1. No friendship or relationship is perfect
2. Every friendship is different 
3. Trust and Respect are the two most important qualities of a friendship 
4. Friendships change and that’s okay

Friendology is an amazing program that teaches kids how to be Friendship ninjas! We even had a very special guest join the preps this week being Sensei Abby! Our Year 2’s are already qualified Friendship Ninjas. As you’re reading this the Preps have also become qualified Friendship Ninjas! With many more on the way. In the meantime, keep those Ninja skills up!

I like Year 4 social group because when we all play treasure hunt, I get to meet new people, and we all have a lot of fun. It gives me more energy. When we play ‘Bloodletter’, sometimes it tricks me!

Yr 4 Farm Social Group

Welcome to Farm Group - Laura Elton – Education Support

A small number of students have been selected to participate in this new program at LPS. For the past few weeks, the students have had the opportunity to come together and work in teams to develop and build on 6 key social skills. The selected students are currently building bird boxes that they have spent time on planning, designing and painting. The students are now excited to be at the building stage and to find a space on the farm to install them. It has been great to see students work together, overcome challenges and be hands on in a project from start to finish. These sessions are a highlight for the students, and we look forward to seeing what else this program will bring.
