Graduation is a milestone that represents more than just the end of school. It’s a moment to pause, reflect, and look forward to celebrating the journey that brought Year 12 students to this significant event.
On Friday, 22 November 2024, the Graduating Class of 2024 celebrated the end of their final year of high school with their Year 12 Graduation Mass and Dinner. The evening started with a wonderful Mass at St Patrick’s Cathedral; we are lucky to have such an amazing and awe-inspiring venue for this momentous occasion, special thanks to John Rhynehart, who organised the beautiful service for our students.
The celebration then moved on to the Olympic Room at the MCG, our dinner venue for the evening. Students were presented with their Graduation certificates as part of the formal ceremony, while families, friends, and teachers enjoyed a delicious two-course meal. At the conclusion of the formal proceedings, the lights were dimmed, and music turned up as everyone enjoyed a celebratory dance. A fun time was had by all!
The road to graduation has been a blend of challenges, growth, and memorable moments for most students. It’s waking up early in the morning for classes, managing deadlines, and navigating the ever-changing dynamics of friendships and self-discovery. It’s also the laughter in the hallways, school events and memories, the thrill of achievements, and the quiet pride of personal progress.
The graduation ceremony itself is a culmination of these experiences. Families, teachers, and peers gather to honour academic accomplishments and the resilience, determination, and character built over years of education.
So, to the graduating class: congratulations on making it here.
Your journey continues, and the best is yet to come.
