Koomba Birdal 2025 at NM TAFE campus - Applications Open for 2026 Enrolment

The Koomba Birdal (Big Spark) program is designed to reduce the barriers that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders may face in education and is designed to provide accessible, customised, supported training. 

 

 

It aims to increase employment and/or further education options with opportunities to connect with Aboriginal Career Guidance Officers to prepare and network with potential role models within industry to further increase successful outcomes.

Australian Aboriginal Mining Academy

The Australian Aboriginal Mining Academy was established in 2019 to facilitate the creation of meaningful job opportunities in the resources sector for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through the provision of education and training.

The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme (PHMSS) is designed to encourage and assist undergraduate students in health-related disciplines to complete their studies and join the health workforce. The scheme provides scholarships for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people studying an entry level health course.

6 October Madalah Tertiary Scholarship 2026 Open

To be eligible:

  • Have applied or be in the process of applying to an Australian University for full-time study. 
  • Must provide proof of enrolment. 
  • Must provide most recent academic results. 
  • You must provide one letter from a referee. Scholars must have a home location in Western Australia.

     

If university is not quite the right fit, but further education is of interest, MADALAH also partner with SEDA Group for the Dual Diploma in Sport and Business.
