We had two beautiful celebrations of First Communion over the weekend. It was a pleasure to be able to celebrate this very important occasion with our year 4 students and their families. Enormous thanks to Father Joseph, Mr Davies and the 3/4 teachers, along with all the St Mark's staff who came along to support the children in this next step of their faith journey.

On Wednesday last week our Leadership Team gathered to consider our strategic plan and our direction for 2026. We considered aspects of schooling such as timetabling and intervention and planned how we will move forward with the MACS Flourishing Learners initiative, including using the Ochre series of resources for Maths and Literacy in 2026. We evaluated our 2025 Annual Action Plan and set tasks for the remainder of the year to ensure we achieve our goals and meet our targets.
Thank-you to Mrs L'Eveille and the FIRE Carrier Captains for organising a wonderful Indigenous Culture Immersion day last Friday. We had a very talented group of Indigenous educators come and work with the children in every level, covering aspects of culture such as Indigenous painting techniques, boomerang throwing, traditional dance and story telling, just to name a few.

Congratulations to Gabriel (Year 6) and Lorenzo (Year 3) who have both been selected to play in the Soccer Select Australian Squad in the Iber Cup in Portugal in December. Lorenzo has been selected for the under 9s team and Gabriel in the under 12s team. What a wonderful achievement for both boys and we wish them all the very best.

Congratulations also to Leon (Year 5/6) who recently won the Junior Championship in Australian ITF Taekwondo Tournament . Well done Leon.

Congratulations to Max D, who did an amazing job at Regional Athletics, coming second and third in his events. He will now compete at a state level which is an amazing achievement. We wish him all the best for States.

On Tuesday 11th November we will be holding a massive second hand uniform sale from 2.30 - 4.00 p.m. outside the office area. Two of our amazing mums - Nicole and Bernie, have offered to set up and run a special sale of our second hand uniform, so come along and have a look and grab a bargain to top up on your uniform requirements without spending a fortune. $5 per item. Cash payments.
If you have any additional clothes in great sellable condition, please remove labels, wash and drop clothes to the office. Any questions, please call Nicole on 0438 532 895.
Don't forget to bring your pets along to school on Friday 7th November at 8.50 a.m. so they can receive a special blessing at the "Blessing of the Animals" service. Please remember to have your animals secured to ensure a safe and happy time for all.
Please consider offering your time to help at the Bunnings BBQ on Sunday 16th November. Our Parents' Association work very hard to build community and raise valuable funds for our school and your help is always very much appreciated.
One of our parents, Tiffany Murray, has beautifully displayed a selection of handmade products in the glass cabinet located in the office area. These items are available for purchase.
If you're interested in viewing or buying any of her creations, please feel free to take one of her business cards, which can be found in front of the products inside the cabinet.
