Year 11 Information Session – September 2

On Tuesday, September 2, we were very lucky to have Mr. William Wang, an experienced education consultant, visit our school to speak with all our Year 11 international students.

During his presentation, Mr. Wang talked about:

  • The different university entry requirements for VCE students,
  • Other pathway options for students who may not continue with Year 12 next year, and
  • Some popular courses provided by universities and TAFEs, and future career opportunities.

He also took the time to warmly answer students’ questions at the end of the session. This was such a valuable experience for our Year 11 students as they start thinking about their next steps.

A big thank you to Assistant Principal Ms. Bastin and Ms. Podesser (Year Level Coordinator of International Students) for organising the event, and to Mr. Wang and his assistant Ms Er for delivering such an engaging and helpful session. It was the perfect lead-up to our Parent Teacher Interviews the following day!

Parent Teacher Interviews – September 3

On Wednesday, September 3, we held our online Parent Teacher Interviews with all international students and their families, including those studying both at our main campus and the Language Centre.

Families joined us from many different countries, such as China, Germany, Japan, and Cambodia. It was a wonderful opportunity to share updates about students’ progress, wellbeing, and experiences at Mordialloc College.

The interviews ran very smoothly thanks to Ms. Podesser, who kindly hosted every meeting, and to student teacher Maria Bakalidou for her enthusiastic support.

Celebrating Our Students’ Success!

We are so proud of two of our international students – one from Myanmar and one from Cambodia – who recently completed the 2025 Gangwon International Youth Forum.

They received Certificates of Completion and some very special gifts sent from Korea to recognise their efforts. Their enthusiasm and commitment to taking part in this international event show exactly the kind of spirit we love to see in our students.

Congratulations to both students for representing Mordialloc College so positively and for being such inspiring role models for their peers!
