Drama Club Performance Evening
Wednesday 27 August 2025
On Wednesday the 27th of August, the drama club students performed our self-written musical titled ‘A Tale of the Tunnels’. This performance was the result of months of hard-work from the students, and the passion we all have for the arts shined through on stage that night.
With help from Mrs Kennedy, ‘A Tale of the Tunnels’ was written by the students, giving us the flexibility to feature the different talents and interests we wanted to showcase. We had students choreographing group dances, writing monologues for themselves to perform, and practising duets (not to mention stringing all of these pieces together into one big story through evenings spent script-writing and planning group scenes). As well as the cast side of things, our amazing crew spent hours behind the scenes making and sourcing props, sorting through the costume room to put together costumes to wear, and learning how to operate the lighting and sound systems. There are so many people who spent countless lunchtimes and after school rehearsals putting so much effort into the creation of this show, and I think we speak for everyone when we say we had an amazing time doing it!
A huge thank you goes to Mrs Kennedy, who made this performance a possibility for us, as she supervised the drama club and helped us write the script. We would also like to thank Ms Bruce, who helped out with the crew, and Eliza and Katherine who supervised after-school rehearsals and helped bring this performance to life. We are so so grateful to everyone who helped us create this performance, and to everyone who came down on the night to watch!
