Meet our Staff

Mrs Edge
Hi, my name is Deb Edge, and I have been teaching for over 30 years. I have been a classroom teacher for grades Foundation to Year 4, and I’ve also taught as a specialist teacher in Art, PE and Technology. I have always loved teaching and believe that the most important thing that you can teach children is to be kind.
I joined the POPS community as a CRT teacher in 2018 and, from 2021 to 2025, was fortunate enough to work with small groups in a Learning Support role. I loved having the opportunity to build students confidence and explicitly teach numeracy and literacy skills. I have also been lucky enough to teach in Foundation since 2022 with Vanessa Allegretto &, this year, in our wonderful Grade 1 class.
I enjoy walking, Pilates, reading, painting and spending time with friends and family.
Miss Villanova
Hi everyone! I’m Miss Villanova and I teach Wednesdays and Thursdays in 3Q. It’s so lovely to be part of an amazing school community like POPS.
I have been here before, completing two student teacher placements in 2022 so it is lovely to be back in the school teaching a couple of days!
I’ve been teaching for a few years, and I love it! I also do CRT work which I enjoy as well!
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, friends and my partner. I have a kitten, Nora, who is very much a huge part of the family.
In my spare time you’ll often find me doing one of my hobbies. I love to write stories! I hope to publish a novel sometime in the future. It’s one of my biggest passions.
I also love listening to music, discovering new artists, bands and genres to listen to. I really enjoy going to concerts and musicals, too. My favourite artist I’ve seen so far is Paul McCartney!
I really enjoy teaching and building relationships with the students and seeing their growth with their learning as the year passes. This year has been great so far and I’m looking forward to what the next months will look like!
