REPTILE ENCOUNTERS

Today, our Foundation students had a wonderful time taking part in the Meet the Rainbow Serpent incursion.

As part of their Literacy learning, students met a variety of Australian reptiles while learning about their habitats, features and how they survive in the wild. They also explored the cultural significance of the Rainbow Serpent in Aboriginal culture, helping to build their understanding of First Nations perspectives and the importance of caring for Country. It was a memorable, hands-on learning experience that brought their classroom learning to life.

PLAN APPOINTMENTS OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOURS

At Park Orchards Primary School, we are committed to supporting every child to attend school every day. Regular attendance is essential for learning, building friendships, developing routines, and helping students feel connected and confident at school.

We understand that medical, dental and other appointments are sometimes unavoidable. However, whenever possible, we encourage families to schedule these appointments outside of school hours, either before or after the school day or during the school holidays. This helps minimise interruptions to learning and ensures students don't miss valuable classroom experiences.

If an appointment needs to take place during school hours, we ask that, where possible, it is arranged at the end of the school day. This reduces the amount of learning time your child misses.

Thank you for your ongoing support in helping every child make the most of every school day.

YOUR FEEDBACK MATTERS

At Park Orchards Primary School, we know that the best outcomes for our students are achieved when families and the school work together in partnership.

To help us continue improving the way we communicate your child's learning, we invite you to complete a short survey about our School Reports, Learning Conferences and Learning Journals. Your feedback will help us understand what is working well, identify opportunities for improvement and ensure the information we provide is meaningful, clear and supports your child's learning journey.

We value your perspectives and appreciate you taking a few minutes to share your thoughts. Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to strengthen the learning experience for every student.
