Upper Secondary Years
It has been another busy and successful term in Senior School, and we are very proud of the progress our students have made.
Our Year 9 and 10 classes have made wonderful progress across the Victorian Curriculum, developing important literacy, numeracy, communication, independence and personal and social skills. These skills will provide a strong foundation as students' progress into our senior school curriculum pathways.
Our ASDAN classes successfully completed their first ASDAN unit and are now working on Developing Communication Skills. A highlight was visiting the Kindness Café, where students practised their communication skills by ordering a drink.
Our VPC students have continued to work hard across VPC Core, Food Studies and their SBAT programs. It has been wonderful to see their growing confidence and independence, particularly through work experience and opportunities to develop important workplace skills.
We are also excited about our new phonics program and can already see excellent progress in students’ reading.
Thank you to the parents, carers and staff who made our Senior School Pathways Presentation such a success. On Monday 12 October, we will hold a Post-School Pathways Presentation for interested families. Further information will be shared shortly on Compass.
