Peppermint 

Term 3 was a busy one for all our little Pepperminties! We started back with an incursion visit from Life Saving Victoria where we were learning about Water Safety. Students really enjoyed working with the volunteers and learning how to use basic safety skills around water.

Students have continued to develop their literacy skills through the Little Learners Love Literacy phonics program. Each day students transition across our learning place to their streamed groups where they work towards developing their understanding of letters and sounds.

We again celebrated 100 Days of School again this year, where our students celebrated everything around 100 and were able to dress up as if they were 100years old. Staff enjoyed this as much as the students this year and it was lots of fun to see everyone dressed up. This linked in well with our Integrated Learning topic for Term 3 which was Technology Time Warp, where we explored old technology.

Week 6 saw us celebrate National Science Week. This year’s theme was Seeds of Science, and this allowed us to extend our garden area, explore seeds and growing skills, along with some super exciting science experiments.

Students enjoyed Principal’s Day this term. Some sent video messages, other decided to create cards thanking our principals for all their work.

Week 7 saw us dressing up again and celebrating National Book Week’s Symphony of Stories. It was so lovely to see so many amazing costumes this year, and students enjoyed the many different experiences based around books and reading.
