Principal's Message

As we come to the end of another busy and rewarding Term 3 at Endeavour Hills Specialist School, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the many wonderful experiences, achievements and milestones our students have shared throughout the term.

It has been a term filled with learning, growth, connection and celebration. Our Banksia, Acacia and Wattle students enjoyed participating in swimming excursions, providing valuable opportunities to develop water safety skills, build confidence and independence, and enjoy being active in the community. It was wonderful to see our students challenging themselves, celebrating their progress and supporting one another. Students in Peppermint and Heath undertook land-based water safety programs run by Lifesaving Victoria. These programs provide the foundations for water safety before students' progress to swimming lessons.

Our prep students also celebrated the very special milestone of 100 Days of School. This was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate how much they have already learned and grown during their first 100 days. We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, confidence and persistence as they continue their journey at school.

Term 3 was also full of opportunities to spark curiosity and imagination. Science Week encouraged our students to explore, investigate and discover through engaging hands-on activities. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, make observations and develop their curiosity about the world around them.

Book Week brought stories and imagination to life across our school. Students enjoyed exploring books, sharing stories and celebrating the joy of reading. The Character Parade was a particular highlight, with students and staff dressing up as favourite book characters. The parade was filled with colour, creativity and plenty of smiles, and was a wonderful celebration of our love of books and storytelling.

Our Koorie students participated in the Casey North Network Koorie Big Day Out held at Timbarra College. Students participated in a smoking ceremony and created their own Totem and enjoyed activities with Koorie students from local schools.

The new playground has been installed in Wattle Learning Place and is being thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

Over the holidays the second stage of our school’s security fencing will be installed across the front of the visitor’s carpark.

I am looking forward to our whole school assembly at 12pm on Friday. I will be handing out well deserved Principal awards and celebrating the hard work our students have done in term 3.

I would like to acknowledge and thank our dedicated staff for the care, creativity and commitment they demonstrate every day. Their work continues to provide our students with meaningful opportunities to learn, grow and experience success.

I would also like to sincerely thank our families and carers for your ongoing support and partnership. Your encouragement and involvement play such an important role in our students' learning and wellbeing.

As we head into the school holidays, I hope our students, families and staff have an opportunity to rest, recharge and enjoy some quality time together. Term 4 will commence on Monday, 5 October 2026. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for an exciting and successful final term of the school year.
