Principal's Address

SMArt and Drama Night 

The annual SMArt and Drama performances were a huge success last Wednesday. For the first time in 2024, the school hosted a matinée performance during the day before doing it all again that night. Both performances were well attended with an estimate of 400 people being thoroughly entertained by students singing, acting, performing and dancing. There were also many student artworks on displays for the enjoyment of the crowd.

Congratulations to all the students involved and a special thank you is extended to the staff who worked tirelessly with the students prior to the event and behind the scenes. Without you, the event does not happen.

Year 12 Graduation Assembly

The Year 12 cohort of 2024 enjoyed their graduation assembly on Tuesday in front of their family, friends, students and staff. There were moving speeches and a few tears as the students came to the realisation that their 13-year schooling journey has come to an end. However, at the end of a journey is the start of another. Our students are planning to move onto a full-time Allied Health traineeship, full-time mechanic apprenticeship, a University degree studying Primary Teaching, Early Childcare and full-time work.

I would like to congratulate our students, Dalijana, Katelyn, Mia, Mollie and Zane, and wish them all the best for their futures after Boorowa Central School. We are very proud of the young women and man you have become.

Year 11 Preliminary Examinations

Year 11 completed their final examinations this week in preparation of beginning the Higher School Certificate next term. I sincerely hope that they used their time wisely in the lead up to these examinations so that they could best demonstrate their understanding of the content and outcomes. These examinations will be marked over the holiday period and semester 2 reports for Year 11 students will be released on Compass at the end of week 3.
