2026-27 Rowing Season
Expressions of interest are now open for the 2026-27 Rowing Season. The Hamilton and Alexandra College Rowing program aims to provide an inclusive, fun and competitive program that teaches students to row and provides appropriate opportunities for competition at Victorian regattas as their skills progress. Rowing is the ultimate team sport and fosters the development of individual accountability, self-confidence, resilience, and learning to manage and cope with expectations.
In the expression of interest form, you will find a link to the 2026-27 Rowing Handbook, which outlines important information about the program, regatta dates, costs, and expectations of students.

Basketball
This week brought plenty of action on the basketball court. Here’s our breakdown of the latest action.
U12B Boys – Barking Owls
Another great win this week against Minders Jazz by 22 points. Jack Allen put up 14 points for his team, and the boys contributed to this strong win.
U12B Boys – Boobook Owls
Unfortunately, they lost to Barber Boys White, but they gave their all and did their absolute best until the game ended. Player of the day was George Malseed, putting up 7 points for his team, getting the ball around to everyone and taking mid-range shots that had fallen in the first half. The boys should be proud of their efforts this season and should keep fighting their way up until the season is done.
U12B Girls – Sooty Owls
Although the girls lost this week, it didn’t reflect on the way that they worked together, pumped each other up, and showed great sportsmanship throughout the game. Players of the day were Hazel Johns, putting up 12 points, and Eloise Bufton, putting up 4 points.
U14B Girls – Snowy Owls vs Sooty Owls
This week, it was the College v College matchup. The Snowy Owls secured a 25-point victory in a competitive game between both teams. Standout performances for the Snowy Owls came from Pippa Quinn, who contributed 9 points, Mila McCabe, who scored 8 points, and Georgina Whale, who added 6 points. The Sooty Owls showed strong defensive pressure throughout the game. The team worked hard to contest possession and remained committed throughout the match, despite shots not falling their way.
U16B Boys – Barn Owls
The U16B Barn Owls had an impressive week, taking on the GT Storm and securing a well-deserved 19-point victory. It was a strong team performance, with Arshi Woosantia and Edward Alderman both contributing 20 points. The boys should be proud of their efforts and the determination they displayed throughout the game.
U16A Girls – Majestic Owls
The U16A Majestic Owls put up a determined performance this week, fighting until the final buzzer against Saint Mary’s. Despite falling short by 17 points, the girls showed excellent resilience, sportsmanship, teamwork and commitment throughout the game. Elsie Brown contributed 14 points and proved to be a key attacking presence for the team.
U16B Girls – Snowy Owls
The U16B Snowy Owls had their scheduled bye this week, providing the team with a valuable opportunity to rest, recover and return to the court refreshed next week.
Div 2 – Snowy Owls
The Snowy Owls secured an impressive 20-point victory over Monivae in a well-contested game. The girls started strongly before experiencing a shaky period through the middle of the game. However, they regained their rhythm and finished strongly, demonstrating great determination and teamwork. Saskia Gould for her second game post injury and made an immediate impact - contributing 37 points whilst also using her height and strong rebounding ability to create valuable second-chance opportunities. This important win sees the Snowy Owls continuing their climb up the ladder as they work towards securing a place in the finals.
Div 3 – Majestic Owls
The Majestic Owls faced a closely fought contest against Barber Babes Black, narrowly going down by just 4-points. Elsie Brown continued her strong run, making a significant contribution with 12 points and consistently driving to the ring with strong layups. Ava Ryan also produced an impressive performance, contributing 10 points while providing a strong attacking presence at the shooting end.
Div 4 Men – Boobook Owls
The Boobook Owls continued their strong form with an outstanding 28-point victory over Barber Boys. Showing great composure and determination, the team found another gear in the second half to maintain their advantage and finish with a convincing win. Sam O’Sullivan was a standout performer, contributing 16 points and proving particularly effective on the fast break, using his speed to drive strongly to the ring. Takudzwa Makore also had an excellent game, adding 9 points and making an important contribution across the court.
