Aquatics

Week 1 Thursday 30th April Year 6 Aquatics at West Lakes

Prisha - Surfing was so challenging at first but when I got the hang of it, it was so fun! Sienna - We did surfing, sailing and kayaking. My favorite one we did was kayaking which was really fun.

Navaneeth - My favourite activity was doing man over the board in sailing which meant we had to jump off the boat to the lake and stay still where you are and after the boat would come back to rescue you.

Mia - My group did surfing first and it was really fun but tricky. I never got good at it, kept falling off the surf board, but it was worth it. Then after surfing we went sailing! And it was awesome, we even jumped off the boat into the lake! There was nothing bad about it! After surfing we had a break for some food and to reapply sunscreen, then we went kayaking. It was fun, we had partners for kayaking and my partner was

Sienna! It did hurt my legs from sitting in that position for a while. But overall, Aquatics was the best!

Shaheer - It was a memory that I will never forget.

Reed - Some people were really good, some were really bad (Me). The water was nice and surfing was very fun overall.

Sharun - I loved sailing especially when I got to do the man overboard drill. The man overboard drill is where we fall into the freezing cold waters. Our lifejackets were saving us from sinking into the freezing deep green waters. We also learned about Blue Ringed Octopus.

Keerat - In Aquatics my favourite part was surfing, I learnt how to stand up. And how to turn back from a surfing board.
