Financial assistance from the Department of Education: Camps, sports and excursions 

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school excursions, camps and sporting activities. The goal is to help ensurethat no student misses out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important, educational and fun activities. Nominations are now open for the Bendigo & District Aboriginal Co-operative’s 2026 NAIDOC Aboriginal Community Awards.

These awards celebrate Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people, adults and Elders living on Dja Dja Wurrung Country who are making an impact. Whether they’re caring for Culture and Country, being a leader and role model, making a positive contribution to Community, excelling in sport, or doing great things in school or work – now’s your chance to recognise them!

Nominations close 10am Thursday 30 April.

The Youth Awards will be presented at the BDAC NAIDOC Flag Raising ceremony, 10am Friday 3 July 2026 at 119 Prouses Road, North Bendigo.
