Student Leadership Excursion- Dream & Lead 

On Wednesday the 18th March, the Junior School Council, School Captains and House Captains, alongside Miss Wynd, Ms Dawson and Mr Wardan, attended the Dream & Lead Leadership Conference. The incredible event was held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre along Southbank, and was attended by over 2000 primary school student leaders. The day was a wonderful experience for all of our student leaders at Greenvale Primary, as they defined what it means to be an active leader, explored different ways to encourage student voice and agency within our school and developed their understanding of how to make a positive impact - no matter how big or small. 

There were some amazing guest speakers including, Essendon AFLW player Maddy Prespakis, who shared her personal story of overcoming adversity and showing resilience to lead her teammates within a professional sporting setting. Our student leaders interacted at the conference with presenters and other students with maturity, enthusiasm and respect! They were an outstanding representation of ‘Greenvale kids being great kids!’

It was truly a memorable experience for all of our Student Leaders at Greenvale Primary School. 

"Attending the Leadership Conference was an amazing opportunity that I got to enjoy with my Leadership Cohort. It was a chance to meet Leaders from other Primary Schools in Victoria and share the experience with them. The event was interactive and had some great guest speakers. I especially enjoyed playing the games and dancing to the music played."
