Please see the Schedule on the next page.

NAPLAN  provides a consistent, nationwide snapshot of how students are progressing in foundational skills. For schools, it offers useful data to identify strengths, highlight areas for improvement and guide evidence-based teaching strategies. For families, it can be a helpful reference point in understanding how their child is tracking against national benchmarks. We hope that our students do well  and perform to their ability. NAPLAN gives us useful data, but parents should see it as one assessment along with other school-based assessments.

The results usally come out toward the end of Term 2. We will keep you informed closer to the date.

Teeth on Wheels

This is a friendly reminder that Teeth On Wheels will be visiting our school for dental check-ups starting on April 22nd 2026.

Early dental visits are crucial for your child’s long-term oral health. At this visit, Teeth On Wheels will help identify and address common dental concerns, such as:

  • Thumb-sucking– which can affect tooth development.

  • Teeth eruption– ensuring teeth are coming through correctly.

  • Bite issues– preventing misalignments that may cause future problems.

  • Hypoplasia– weakened tooth enamel that can lead to decay.

  • Decay and cavities – catching early signs before they develop into bigger issues.

  • Deep grooves and pits– which can trap food and bacteria, increasing the risk of decay.

  • Gum infections– preventing long-term damage to gums and surrounding tissue.

To ensure your child is part of this visit, please complete the consent form by clicking the link below:

Important Safety Note

Office Doors

To ensure the safety of all students and staff, the school office doors will remain locked throughout the school day. Once school begins, parents will not be permitted to walk their child to class. If assistance is needed, a staff member will be available to help your child safely reach their classroom.

To avoid increased anxiety or  disappointment, please arrive on time if you wish to walk your child to class before the start of the school day.

Carpark

For safety it is vitally important that parents  are patient, observant and vigilant at all times, aware of students toddlers  and other adults as they use the carpark.  Please collect your child from the gate.

We seem to have more families using the Parish Carpark with the overflow extending into the top playground.  It can be congested and we thank you for your patience.

If there is the ability to use the back area of our school St Johns Way (Kiss and Drop/ Collect ) and surrounding streets this may assist.  Please obey all signs.

Catholic Education Week

Christ beside me: Walking in the footsteps of Saint Patrick.

This year’s theme celebrates the significance of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of our local Church in Melbourne.

Last year, as part of our Jubilee Year and Catholic Education Week, a striking new icon and depiction of Saint Patrick was unveiled and blessed by Archbishop Peter A Comensoli in front of thousands of students, educators, and special guests.

In 2026, Catholic Education Week will run from Sunday 15 March to Sunday 22 March.

The Mass of St Patrick for Schools will take place on Friday 20 March 2026, followed by the Concert in the Park, and Young Speakers Colloquium. Our School and Social Captains will attend this day.
