Exciting Developments in Our Kitchen Garden

If you’ve visited the school recently, you may have noticed some exciting changes taking place next to the Discovery Centre. Construction is underway on our brand-new kitchen garden—a sustainable, student-friendly space designed to support hands-on learning.

We’re thrilled to be working with garden designer Emma Powell on the project and would like to extend our sincere thanks to Amy Gedge and Chris Wilkinson for their invaluable support in sourcing and plumbing in the innovative food cubes. These self-wicking garden beds are not only made from recycled materials but are also significantly more water-efficient than traditional garden systems.

Our talented builder, Scot, has been hard at work constructing key features, including a shaded greenhouse area and a central structure designed to support climbing fruit plants while offering a cool, inviting space for students. Built-in seating will also be included, providing a welcoming environment where students can sit, learn and enjoy the garden.

We look forward to seeing this wonderful space come to life and become an integral part of our school community.

Happy gardening!
