SPOTLIGHT

Year 2
In Week 10 of Term 3, Year 2 walked up to ANZAC Park. It was a beautiful day, and the spring weather was so lovely to be out and about in. We aimed to explore and then review a variety of aspects and parts of ANZAC Park. Please enjoy the photos of our excursion. We have also included some of the clever and convincing reviews that were written by the students in Year 2 upon our return.

PLAY EQUIPMENT -I give the playground 5 stars.
Today I will be talking about ANZAC Park, Tamworth. It is a great park for children, teenagers and adults. The ANZAC memorial garden is also very welcoming.
I gave the equipment 5 stars because it has no rust and bright paint, a swing for people with wheelchairs and no rubbish. There are also lots of activities…like the trampoline, swings and slide.

GARDENS AND PATHS at ANZAC Park
I give the Gardens and paths 4 stars. Because there is a bit of rubbish.
I strongly believe that you should visit the gardens at ANZAC Park. Firstly, I believe that the path is smooth and the flowers are delightful to stare at. The flowers have a delightful smell and there is so much beautiful wildlife living in the peaceful gardens.
It is obvious that there are nice tables and chairs in the well maintained garden. Don’t you think that the garden and paths are the best place to be? The wonderful garden is shady and there is a cool breeze that softly hits your face. The flowers are beautiful. When you visit the gardens you feel safe and peaceful.

ANZAC MEMORIAL GATES
I give the ANZAC MEMORIAL GATES 5 stars.
I strongly believe that it is essential to visit the ANZAC MEMORIAL GATE because it’s a reminder of all the brave men and women. This is a great memorable, sad place for the people who served in WAR.
It is great for anybody to come. Especially myself because, my Great Great Uncle, (Willam Allen Urwen) served in a WAR. It’s sad to remember them, but I love the engraved names.
Thirdly, I will never forget the stunning gates for their outstanding shiny, beautiful engraved names. The bushes are tidy and neat. It is lovely, unbelievable and great to have a peaceful walk through the middle.

ANZAC MEMORIAL GATES
I give the incredible ANZAC Memorial Gates 5 out of 5 stars .
The spectacular ANZAC Memorial Gate is a beautiful place where we can remember the people that served in the deadly wars. We can also admire the soldiers who climbed the mountain at Sandakan
Firstly, I strongly believe that the Memorial Gates will definitely remind us about the people that died in the war ( Lest We Forget ). We are also able to acknowledge these people on ANZAC DAY at the gates.
Secondly, it is certain that the Memorial Gate is special because this is one of the only places in Tamworth that the names are carved out of stone . It will stay there until the end.

PLAY EQUIPMENT
I give the equipment 5 stars.
My Review
Have you ever wanted to have a picnic barbeque as well as 2 playgrounds for your kids to play on? Well, ANZAC Park in Tamworth is the place to be!
ANZAC Park is great! It has two equipment parks, which means two slides and even two swings! This is an awesome park because it is in our town and we can walk there any time we want.

Gardens
I give the gardens at ANZAC Park five stars because there are a variety of plants, nice ladybugs, rolly polys, and more. It's also a calm and tranquil place where birds fly high. You can listen to the leaves on the trees whisper in the wind and reflect on those who fought for us. It's also a good place to have fun and get exercise for all ages!
Besides that, it's free and a great spot to have a picnic with family and friends. ANZAC Park is very unique yet sacred. Who wouldn't want to visit a tranquil, calm, sacred park? I highly recommend and guarantee that everyone should go there right now! Another recommendation I would make, is that the park should possibly make a longer rope for the flying fox.

THE GARDENS
I give the gardens at ANZAC Park four stars because it has a pathway of date palm trees and flowers, but I think it needs a bit more plants. It's nice, relaxing, and also people from the community can meet people such as friends and family, and play sports like cricket or dance to the whistling wind while huge branches are huge and the leaves whisper. Even people with wheelchairs can go there and have a play on the wheelchair swing!
