Welcome back to Term 2. I hope everyone has had a relaxing break, after the holidays and long weekend, and is ready for a big term ahead.

ANZAC Day

To commemorate the National Day of Remembrance we held a whole school assembly led by 5/6C on Thursday 25th April. 

 

Our student leaders attended the ANZAC Day service at the Swan Hill RSL. The student leaders were invited to lay a floral tribute on behalf of SHNPS during the ceremony. 

 

Toby also represented our school reading a poem about ANZAC day at the service. 

 

 

School Events

We have had so many events happen this week from the Community Services Day to Cross Country and our Student Leaders attended the GRIP leadership conference in Bendigo. 

 

It is always so pleasing to hear that our students display the school values at these events. It makes me so proud as we see these values at school each day and to have others comment is lovely to hear!

 

2026 Foundation Students

If you have a child starting Foundation in 2026 please contact the office so we can supply, you with our information packs. We have our Come and Try days coming up. We look forward to meeting lots of new families.

Teaching Excellence Program 2025

Our school values the learning and development of our staff, and the positive impact this has on student outcomes and school improvement.

We are proud to share that Nicola has begun their professional learning journey through the Teaching Excellence Program at the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership.

We are proud that we have Nicola representing our school and supporting the Academy in raising the status of this amazing profession!

 

 

 

School Saving Bonus

As shared with you previously, parents and carers of every child enrolled in a Victorian government school in 2025 will receive the one-off School Saving Bonus $400 support. Parents have received emails about this. 

Families can choose how they allocate and spend the School Saving Bonus funds using the online system. The School Saving Bonus can be used towards 2025 school costs, which may include:

  • camps, trips, excursions and incursions
  • swimming and sporting programs
  • outdoor education programs
  • graduations
  • school uniforms
  • textbooks (Please note stationery is not considered to be a textbook).
