Upper Sport Report
Upper Sport was held today, and our students showed fantastic effort across all events! It was great to see everyone participating with enthusiasm, teamwork, and resilience throughout the day.
In tennis, we saw some outstanding performances, with a special congratulations to Amelia, T’Yina, and Victoria-Rose, who finished as runners-up in their division. Their determination and skill were impressive, and they should be very proud of their efforts.
The basketball teams showed great resilience and teamwork. The girls’ team had an incredible day, winning all three of their games, while the boys’ team secured two victories. Their hard work and sportsmanship were evident in every match.
In softball, students displayed excellent sportsmanship, supporting each other and playing with great spirit. Similarly, in cricket, players demonstrated both resilience and sportsmanship, making it a fantastic day of competition.
A special thank you to Swan Hill Secondary College for their invaluable support throughout the day. Not only did they coach our students, but they also assisted with umpiring and scoring, ensuring the event ran smoothly. We truly appreciate their time and effort in making the day a success.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the families who made the extra effort to attend. Your support and encouragement mean so much to the students, and it was wonderful to have you there cheering them on.
Well done to all participants for their hard work, teamwork, and dedication. It was a fantastic day of sport, and we are so proud of everyone involved!
Senior Cross Country
On Friday the 2nd of May we held our senior cross country for grades 3-6, it was a wonderful day with the kids giving their full effort and creating a wonderful environment cheering each other on down the final stretch. Some of our students will be moving on to the Mallee Division Cross Country on the 13th of May to represent our school.
GRIP
Yesterday, our Year 6 student leaders attended the GRIP Leadership Conference, where they explored the responsibilities of being a student leader and the importance of leading through friendship. They discussed how new ideas can support others in the school community and created clear action steps to help bring these ideas to life before the end of the year. If your child is an avid learner and would like to hear more about leadership, they can listen to the Student Leadership News podcast, available on Spotify.
