YEAR 11 EXCURSION WEEK

Farm Focus students will be heading off on Monday for a three-day industry tour, visiting a range of agricultural workplaces, attending the Dowerin Field Days, and staying at Muresk Institute.
During the tour, students will visit Patmore Feeds, Balco Hay, CBH Northam, Cunderdin Ag College, and the Wyalkatchem Agricultural Museum. Students will gain insight into a range of agricultural enterprises and career pathways, while seeing industry operations firsthand.
Students will also attend the Dowerin Field Day, where they can explore the latest agricultural technology and machinery, and engage with industry professionals from across the State. Their stay at Muresk Institute will introduce them to tertiary study opportunities in agriculture, helping students better understand future career options.
Trades Focus students will participate in a day tour on Monday, visiting two leading industry sites: Mineral Resources in Kwinana and Komatsu in Forrestfield. The tour will give students valuable first-hand exposure to a range of operations, equipment, and career opportunities. By engaging with industry professionals and learning about the skills and qualifications required in the sector, students will better understand the career pathways available to them after school.
