Thank You Kirri Nield!
On behalf of the King's College PTFA, we extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to Kirri Nield for her exceptional dedication and service as our School Liaison.
Throughout her time in the role, Kirri has given so generously of her time, energy, and unwavering support, playing an invaluable part in strengthening the partnership between our school and the parent community. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine willingness tolisten, communicate, and collaborate have made a lasting impact on ourcommittee and the wider King's College community.
Kirri's commitment has gone far beyond the responsibilities of the role. She has been a constant source of encouragement, guidance, and support, always approaching every task with warmth, generosity, and a genuine desire to help others. The countless hours she has volunteered, often behind the scenes, have helped make our PTFA stronger and our community more connected.
While we are saddened to see Kirri step down from her position, we are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed. Her dedication, positivity, and passion for our school community have been truly appreciated and will leave a lasting legacy.
Thank you, Kirri, for your outstanding commitment, your generous spirit, and the care and enthusiasm you have brought to the PTFA. It has been an absolute privilege to work alongside you, and we wish you every success and happiness in whatever comes next. You will always be a valued part of the King's College PTFA family.
Join the King's College PTFA General Committee
As we say a heartfelt farewell to Kirri in her role as School Liaison, we warmly invite members of our wonderful King's College community to consider becoming part of our PTFA by joining the General Committee.
Our PTFA is built on the generosity, enthusiasm, and kindness of parents and families who share a common goal - supporting our students,our staff, and our school community. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helps create opportunities, strengthen connections, and make King's College an even more vibrant place for our children to learn and grow.
Joining the General Committee doesn't require a significant time commitment. Whether you're able to lend a hand at an event, share ideas and feedback, assist behind the scenes, or simply help whenever your schedule allows, your involvement will be genuinely valued and deeply appreciated. Every helping hand makes a meaningful difference, and together we can continue to build the welcoming and supportive community that makes King's College so special.

100 Days of Prep
What a truly wonderful milestone to celebrate! This week, our Prep students proudly reached 100 Days of School, and what a wonderful celebration it was.
The PTFA, together with our incredible Prep teachers and dedicated parent volunteers, transformed the Prep classrooms and hallways into colourful, joy-filled spaces with balloons, vibrant paper chains, and cheerful decorations. Seeing the excitement on the children's faces as they walked into their beautifully decorated classrooms was simply priceless. Their smiles, laughter, and sense of wonder made every moment of preparation worthwhile. It's hard to believe how quickly these precious first 100 days have flown by!
A very special thank you goes to students, Charlotte J and Ganeev S, who generously gave up their lunchtime to help create decorations, and Alena and Emilia T, who spent their Wednesday afternoon after school carefully crafting the colourful paper chains that brought the classrooms and hallways to life. Your creativity, generosity, and willingness to help made such a meaningful contribution to this special celebration.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to parents Morgan Carey, Hope Silk, Stacey Jannusch, Kate Wilson, Beth Arms, Nadia Toprak, and Fiona-Maree Hollingsworth, who generously gave their Thursday evening to decorate and prepare the classrooms. Your enthusiasm, teamwork, and willingness to volunteer your time ensured everything looked absolutely beautiful for our Prep students.
A very special shout-out also goes to our wonderful students, Isla Z, Bailey Z, Oscar A, Dexter S, and Emilia T, who enthusiastically pitched in to help set up and decorate the spaces for their peers. It was wonderful to see our students leading by example and demonstrating such kindness, generosity, and community spirit.
To everyone who contributed - whether through your time, creativity, energy, or helping hands - thank you. Celebrations like these are only possible because of the incredible support of our King's College community, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you. Together, you helped create memories that our Prep students will treasure for years to come!
Book Week Donations & Second Hand Sales
Book Week is just around the corner (17 - 21 Aug), and the PTFA is excited to be celebrating this year's theme, 'Book an Adventure – A Symphony of Stories' with a Second Hand Costume Sale and Book Sale!
Second Hand Costume Sale
We're inviting our school community to donate any Book Week costumes that are still in good condition. Whether it's a favourite character costume that's been outgrown or one that's no longer needed, we'd love to give it a second life.
Costume donations can be dropped off at Reception from now until the week of Book Week (17th Aug).
Then, from Week 4 (3rd Aug), families will have the opportunity to browse and purchase costumes for a small donation. It's a wonderful way to find an affordable Book Week costume, reduce waste, and support our school community at the same time.
Second Hand Book Sale
We're also inviting all families to have a look through their bookshelves and donate any pre-loved children's books that are in good, clean condition. Whether it's picture books, chapter books, novels or non-fiction, we'd love to give them a new home with another young reader.
Book donations can be dropped off at Reception from now until the week of Book Week (17th Aug).
During Book Week, the PTFA will be selling the donated books at recess and lunchtime, giving students the opportunity to discover a new favourite book.
All funds raised from both sales will go towards supporting future PTFA initiatives and enriching opportunities for our students, making this a wonderful way to encourage a love of reading while giving books and costumes a second life.
Thank you for helping us make this year's Book Week celebration a memorable one. We can't wait to see our students bring their favourite book characters to life and discover their next favourite read!
