Year 5 Squash
Over the past three weeks, our Year 5 students have enjoyed participating in a Squash program during their PE lessons. For many students, this was their first experience playing squash, making it an exciting opportunity to try a completely new sport.
Throughout the sessions, students learned and practised a range of fundamental squash skills, including correct grip, forehand and backhand shots, movement around the court, and game rules. It was wonderful to see students developing their confidence and improving their skills each week.
To finish the program, students took part in a fun round robin competition where they had the chance to apply what they had learned in game situations.
Thank you to Warrnambool Squash and Mr Harris for some great tips.

Year 6 Field Hockey
Our Year 6 students have enjoyed returning to the Warrnambool Hockey Field for their recent PE lessons, building on the field hockey skills they developed in previous years.
Throughout the unit, students refined their dribbling, passing, tackling and shooting techniques while improving their positioning, communication and decision-making on the field. It was fantastic to see students confidently applying these skills in increasingly challenging activities.
The unit concluded with game based sessions, where students had the opportunity to incorporate their skills into real match situations.
It has been wonderful to see the Year 6 students continue to develop their hockey abilities and confidence, making the most of the excellent facilities at the Warrnambool Hockey Field.
