100 Days of Prep
There were a few elderly Preps on Friday this week as they had great fun celebrating 100 days of school! Congratulations Preps! You are amazing!
JC Action Sports Day
On Friday this week, our College community enjoyed an exciting visit from the team at JC Action Sports. JC Action Sports is a global movement using premier action sports events and relational testimony to see cultures changed, lives impacted and revival come.
The team shared a message at Chapel for our Year 5 – 12 students, where they gave their personal stories, encouraged students to make positive choices, and spoke about the hope and purpose found in Jesus Christ.
Following this, the entire school gathered to watch an exciting outdoor BMX show. Students were captivated by the incredible BMX tricks, with plenty of excitement and cheering.
To make the day even more memorable, students enjoyed a special lunch of hot chips and pizza, creating a wonderful sense of community and celebration across the College. A big thank you to everyone involved in organising and running this event!
Investing in Trauma-Informed Practice
16 of our Early Learning and Junior School staff are now more than halfway through the Berry Street Education Model - Curriculum and Classroom Strategies professional learning program.
This nationally recognised training equips educators with practical, trauma-informed strategies to support children's wellbeing, self-regulation, engagement and learning. Through the course, staff are deepening their understanding of the impact of trauma and toxic stress on young learners, while developing evidence-based approaches that strengthen relationships and create safe, supportive learning environments.
What makes this achievement even more significant is that these staff members have all volunteered to, not only undertake the 15 hour course, but to complete it in their own time. Their commitment to ongoing professional growth and to providing the very best care and learning experiences for our students is truly commendable.
It has been both a privilege and a pleasure to complete this course alongside such an outstanding group of colleagues. Their willingness to invest in their own learning is a reflection of the care, dedication and professionalism they bring to our College every day.
A special thank you to Beth Bennett for organising this valuable professional learning opportunity. We are grateful for her leadership in making this training available to our staff and, ultimately, to the students and families we serve.

King's College Presents: The Sound of Music - Tickets on Sale Monday
King's College proudly presents our Senior School production of The Sound of Music!
The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision.
September 10, 11 & 12 at 7PM in the King's College Auditorium.

40th Anniversary Founders' Day
All families are warmly invited to join us on Friday 14th August at 9:30am as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary Founders' Day.
This special occasion will honour the vision, faith, and commitment of those who established King's College and celebrate God's faithfulness over the past 40 years.
The event will feature worship led by the College Chapel Band, a message from our guest speaker, and the presentation of the 2026 Founders' Day Award.
We would be delighted to have you join our students, staff, and wider College community as we reflect on our history and look forward to the future.
This event will be held in the College Auditorium, and will be followed by a morning tea for staff, families and special guests.

Trivia Night Fundraiser
King’s College and the Warrnambool Table Tennis Association invite you to join us for a Trivia Night Fundraiser on Friday 21st August from 6:00PM - 8:30PM in the King's College Pentagon.
Our Year 11 students, along with David Walkley from the Warrnambool Table Tennis Association, are collaborating to coordinate this family event. All funds raised are being donated to the Children’s Cancer Institute.
$80 per table - 8 people per team ($10pp). 15 Tables Available. One team member to book a table via this TryBooking link.
A silent auction will also be held during the event. Please also bring gold coins for games held throughout the evening.
A Sausage Sizzle and hot/cold drinks will be available for purchase. Attendees are welcome to BYO food & drinks. Please note this is an alcohol free event.
