Numeracy and Literacy week

Week 8 was Literacy and Numeracy week. As a school we focused on board and card games to help improve our Numeracy and Literacy skills. The children explored using different dice and many enjoyed rolling them and making up action games. In group 2 they rolled the dice and then jumped or clapped that many times. They also played a game where you could walk as many steps as you rolled and race to cross the classroom. Group 14 used the dice to count to 100. Group 5 enjoyed playing card games and matching the Bluey characters. Group 22 have learnt to play Uno strengthening their number and colour recognition.  Everyone had lots of fun. Why not try and play a board or card game this weekend!
