Spelling Bee

A huge congratulations to all of our students who took part in this year’s Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee. It was fantastic to see so many students challenge themselves, give their best effort and demonstrate their spelling skills. The competition encouraged students to listen carefully, think critically and persevere through some very tricky words, and we were incredibly proud of the way everyone approached the challenge.
We would like to give a special shout-out to Kingston, Jacob, Anita, Ellie, Ianna, Amizhdhan, Alicia and Jai, who have progressed to the State Championships. This is an outstanding achievement and reflects their hard work, strong spelling knowledge and determination throughout the competition.
The Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee is a nationwide competition that sees thousands of students from across Australia compete in an online spelling challenge. Students are ranked based on both the number of words they spell correctly and the time taken to complete the challenge. To progress, students must place among the top performers in their state or territory.
We wish Kingston, Jacob, Anita, Ellie, Ianna, Amizhdhan, Alicia and Jai all the very best as they take on the next round of competition. We look forward to hearing how they go and are proud to have them representing our school at the State Championships!
