Showing Compassion in the Yard
It has been wonderful to notice students demonstrating our school value of Compassion in the yard by approaching others, inviting them to join games and making sure classmates are included.
These small actions make a significant difference to how connected and supported students feel at school, and they are exactly the kinds of behaviours we want to continue encouraging across our community.
As we head into the final week of Term 3, we are encouraging all students to keep looking for opportunities to demonstrate our school values of Compassion, Ambition, Courage and Creativity.
We currently have just TWO birds remaining to fill our Celebration Tree, so we are very hopeful that students can work together to earn one more Celebration Day before the end of the term!
Division athletics team 2026
Congratulations to all of our students who represented Box Hill North at District Athletics. Our students competed with determination and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout the day, listening respectfully to adults and one another, giving their best effort and approaching both success and disappointment with fairness and a positive attitude.
We are also delighted that ten students have progressed to Division Athletics on 13 October. This is a significant achievement, particularly with up to 24 students competing in some events.

Hats at Recess and Lunch
A reminder that all students are now required to wear a school hat during recess and lunch. As the weather begins to warm up and UV levels increase, hats are an important part of keeping students sun-safe while they are outdoors.
Please make sure your child has a clearly named school hat at school each day. Students without a hat will be required to remain in the designated shaded areas during outdoor break times.
End of Term 3
It is hard to believe how quickly the term has flown by. Term 3 concludes next Friday at 2.30pm. We look forward to finishing the term strongly and celebrating the many achievements of our students before everyone heads off for a well-earned break.
A Strong Start to Term 4
As we prepare for Term 4, a reminder that arriving at school by 8.50am is extremely important for student engagement and learning. Those first few minutes of the morning provide valuable time for students to settle into the classroom, organise their belongings, connect with their teacher and classmates, and prepare themselves mentally for the learning ahead.
Students who arrive after the school day has begun can miss important instructions and the opportunity to transition calmly into the day, which can affect both their learning and their sense of readiness. We encourage all families to support students to arrive by 8.50am so they can begin each day feeling settled, prepared and ready to learn.
