A Family Prayer for the People of Nepal

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 34:18

As a family, let's take a moment to remember the people of Nepal, especially those experiencing fear, hardship, loss or uncertainty. Our faith reminds us that we belong to one human family. When people in another part of our world are suffering, we are called not to look away, but to respond with prayer, compassion and hope.

Take a quiet moment together and think about the people of Nepal.

How might God be calling our family to show love and compassion to people who are suffering, even when they live far away from us?

Share your thoughts with each other.

Loving God,

We pray for the people of Nepal.

Be close to those who are frightened, grieving or uncertain about what lies ahead.

Comfort those who have lost loved ones.

Give strength to families facing hardship and courage to those working to help others.

Guide leaders to make decisions with wisdom, compassion and a desire for peace.

Protect those who are vulnerable and inspire people throughout the world to respond with generosity.

Jesus, you taught us to love our neighbour and to care for those who suffer.

Open our eyes to the needs of others and help us to be people who bring peace, kindness and hope into our world.

Amen.

❤️Thank You for Your Generosity❤️

A heartfelt thank you to all our families for your wonderful generosity and support of our recent Footy Day fundraiser.

The money raised will be donated to Caritas Australia to support their work in Nepal, helping communities and families who are experiencing hardship and need.

Our students have shown us that even a fun day at school can become an opportunity to live out Jesus’ call to love and serve others. Through your generosity, we are reminding our children that faith is not only something we believe it is something we put into action.

Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.

 1 John 3:18

Thank you for helping our school community turn compassion into action and bring hope to others.
