Mt Maria College is gearing up to host Rockin’ the Suburbs 2026, a high‑energy celebration of local talent on Friday 24 April, 7:00pm–9:00pm at the Gaythorne Bowls Club. The event showcases an exciting lineup of emerging bands, including Marist College Ashgrove’s own student group, Failsafe.
Failsafe features four dedicated Year 12 musicians (Patrick Bach, Ethan Bell, Cooper Chugg and Hayden Gane) who will take the stage alongside other standout acts such as Dead Issue, At Least 3 Gallons, Terminal Velocity, and a selection of 2026 homegrown bands.
With great music, a vibrant atmosphere and a sausage sizzle on offer, it promises to be a fantastic night out for the community and a wonderful opportunity to support young artists.

Marist Jazz Night will feature performances from Big Bands 1, 2 and 3 and will be joined by special guest artist Unladylike Big Band, Brisbane’s acclaimed all‑women, women‑led ensemble known for championing female jazz musicians and composers. The concert will take place next Monday, April 27 at 6:30pm in the Experimental Theatre. This is sure to be a fantastic event so make sure to secure your tickets HERE!
