State Swimming
Good luck to Sam at his State Swimming on Thursday. An amazing achievement and experience for Sam and we wish him the very best!
Division Bowls Tryouts
Our bowls teams are attending the Division Bowls event today, Tuesday, 21 April. We have 14 eager players ready to show their skills on the rink after a few weeks of training in Term 1. We wish them all the best and look forward to hearing how they go.
A big thank you to the Buninyong Bowls Club for supporting us in another year of amazing bowls with you! Our students are so fortunate to have you!
AFL Tryouts
For all interested students, Mr Rodgers will be holding school football tryouts/training on Wednesday (22nd) and Thursday (23rd) this week during our second break (1:50pm-2:30pm).
This year we will have three teams participating:
- A Boys/Mixed
- A Girls
- B Boys/Mixed
Like in previous years, the event is AFL 9's- meaning there are some specific rules, shortened ground, and only 9 players on the ground at one point. https://www.ssv.vic.edu.au/state/Documents/RulesAustralianFootballPrimary.pdf
If you have any questions about the event, please don't hesitate to reach out to Mr Rodgers.
Interhouse Cross Country
Our Interhouse Cross Country is set to be held on 22 April, 2026. Information on the event can be found here. A reminder that students are invited to wear house colours. Local excursion consent will be used for this event.
We are still after a few volunteers for the Grade 5/6 race. If you are willing and able to help us out, please let Claire Morris (claire.morris@education.vic.gov.au) know. You just need a chair, drink, foot rest, cheering voice and pom poms if you fancy. A link to the marshalling spots can be found here. Thank you in advance!
What to bring to P.E
Just a reminder for all students to bring with them their P.E. shoes, drink bottle (and hats in Term 1+4) to their P.E. classes. A different pair of sports shoes need to be brought to P.E. as per the uniform policy. This allows us to keep safe, look after our gym and make the most of our lessons together. Thanks to everyone who continues to remember these.
