Term 2 Important Dates

Welcome back to Term 2! We hope everyone had an enjoyable and restful break. As is often the case, we are kicking off the term with a bang, with lots on in the first few weeks of term. Please have a good read below, particularly for Cross Country tomorrow, School Photos and Japan Day next week.

Interhouse Cross Country Day - Wednesday 22nd April - TOMORROW

Tomorrow, we have our whole school Buninyong Interhouse Cross Country Day. This will be again held at the Buninyong campus, where students get the opportunity to run with their designated age groups. We will again spend the entire day at the Buninyong campus, making it easier for drop off and pick up arrangements, as well as maintaining a more settled day for the students. 

Students can wear a t-shirt with their house colour and parents are encouraged to come and support their child. It is always a fun-filled day.

Drop off and pick up will be at Buninyong on this day, with normal bus arrangements continuing from the Buninyong Campus.

School Photos - Tuesday 28th April (start at Buninyong)

The Scotsburn day for school photos next week, will be Tuesday 28th April. We ask that students start the day at the Buninyong Campus, where we will get our individual, class and family photos taken, and then bus back up to Scotsburn at recess. We will then finish the day at Scotsburn.  Please check Compass for photo ordering.

Japan Day - Friday 1st May (whole day at Buninyong)

A reminder that Japanese Day is fast approaching - next Friday 1st May! This is always a highlight on the calendar, with lots of cultural fun to be had throughout the day. 

Next Friday will be a drop off and pick up at Buninyong, with a whole school assembly in the morning. We can’t wait to see all the amazing Japan-themed costumes!

Scotsburn Mothers’ Day Breakfast - Friday 8th May

We once again look forward to celebrating all of our wonderful mothers and special friends in the Scotsburn community with a Mothers’ Day Breakfast. This event will be separate from the Buninyong Mothers’ Day breakfast.

This special occasion will take place on Friday 8th May, between 8:15am and 9:30am in the old building, Scotsburn. No need to bring anything, we will have all food and drink sorted, celebrating all of the wonderful contributions our Mothers’ and special friends play in our lives.

Mother’s Day Stall - Friday 8th May

Our annual Scotsburn Mother’s Day stall is back! This is an opportunity for our students to express and learn more about gratitude, as well as giving thanks to the Mums or other significant people in their lives.

All gifts are $5, with students having the opportunity to purchase one or two gifts. Don’t forget to send some money along with your child on this day.

We have an assortment of items to choose from that the students think our Mums would like… we can’t give too many clues away!

Drop offs and Pickups

Just a reminder that at the busy times of drop offs and pickups, it is good practise to enter at Platts road, and exit the car park via the Scotsburn Hall service road, which the Buninyong end. This will assist with a smoother process at these times and ensure the buses have no head on traffic. 

We also remind everyone that 8:45am is an ideal time for students to be dropped off in the morning. If you need to drop your children any earlier, please arrange this with one of the Scotsburn staff.
