                                    Confirmation

Congratulations to all of the students from St. John Vianney's, St. Patrick's and Stella Maris who celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation last weekend with Father Justin Ford. In particular, we congratulate our own Year 6 students:

Ava Arendarcikas

Evie Beasley

Harper Harris

Oliver Ludford-Brooks

Tia Pierce

Isabella Saulle

A special thank you to Fr. Justin, Mick Schinck, Elise Fisher, and the St. John Vianney's Parish for their support of these young people in preparing and working with them on this part of their continued faith journey.

Confirmation activates the gifts of the Holy Spirit that were given to us at Baptism – Knowledge, Understanding, Wisdom, Counsel, Fortitude, Fear of the Lord, and Piety. These gifts enable us to make a difference in the lives of others.

                                    Welcome, Oliver!

On August 24th, Oliver Ludford-Brooks was received into the Full Communion of the Catholic Church, and he received the Sacrament of First Eucharist. Congratulations, Oliver!

We Are Now in the Season of Creation: Peace with Creation (1 September - 4 October)

Each year, from September 1 to October 4, Catholics around the world unite in prayer and action to protect our common home. This sacred time, known as the Season of Creation, is a special opportunity to reflect on God as Creator of all life, and to renew our shared commitment to love and care for the gift of creation.

During this season, we are invited to deepen our spiritual connection with nature, advocate for ecological justice, and live in harmony with all of God's creation. The theme for this year, "Peace with Creation," reminds us that true peace includes right relationships—with God, with each other, and with the Earth.

Let us join together as one global family in prayer, reflection, and action.

Together, let us care for our common home and become stewards of God’s abundant creation.

                        Father's Day

Dear God,

Thank you for loving us with your perfect heart of a father. We ask you this Father's Day and always to guide and protect the hearts of all men in fatherly roles who are striving to love with your heart and do your work.

Give them pure, courageous, and creative hearts like Saint Joseph. Give them hearts that never tire of serving those they are called to love. Give them hearts that seek out their loved ones and gently turn their gaze to see You, who is Love.

And we ask you, Father, to bless them abundantly today. We thank you for blessing us with those in fatherly roles in our lives.

We entrust them to you.

Amen.
