Acting Principal's

Report

Mr Lockhart

A busy week last week, with our annual Book Week Parade, great to see the majority of our students dressed up as their favourite character, even better was the effort made by staff to dress up as well. A reminder to all students to keep reading and record your minutes to help your house win the Reading Olympics…..go Ansett!

Great feedback from our Yr 9s on their Bogong Snow Trip – students had the best of both worlds – great weather and plenty of snow. To cap the week off, our Year 8s had their  NCTTC (Tafe) Orientation Day to choose their subjects for 2026.

Student Free Day – Friday 29th August

This coming Friday is a student free day and a planned Curriculum Day will be held in Bendigo for all staff, both teaching and Education Support staff.

Year 7 Information Night / Half Day Transition – Monday 1st September

A reminder that this coming Monday is our first Yr 7 2026 Transition Day, followed by a

Yr 7 Information Night held in our college café. All prospective Yr 7 2026 students, parents and carers are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Jill Millie Public Speaking Awards – Tuesday Sept 2nd September

Our annual Jill Millie Public Speaking Awards will be held this coming Tuesday 2nd September. All parents and carers are invited to attend. Good luck to everyone who has put their hand up to enter the competition.

Uniform

As the cold days seem to be hanging on, just a reminder to all students who are going to wear an undergarment and it can be seen, please make sure it is navy blue.
