Mr Daniel Bull - Assistant Head of College - Mission (Acting)
We begin our day and our new term recognising that we are shifting from holiday mode to school mode. It can be a challenging adjustment! We ask God to give us the strength and perseverance to make the shift and to help us be kind to ourselves (and others) as we re-establish routines. We pray:
+ Loving God, We thank you for the time of rest, help us to bring our attention and keep our focus on the challenges and opportunities we face this term. May our spirits remain high and our sense of connection and community strong. Guide us, we pray, today and every day. Amen. +
All are welcome to this Wednesday’s Community Mass at 8am. Mass will also be celebrated Friday during break 1B. Please note that this Wednesday’s scheduled Harold House Mass has been moved to Week 2 (22 July). We look forward to welcoming Harold House students, staff and families to this Mass.
The Year 12s will be heading off on Retreat tomorrow; the retreatants go with our blessing. We hope that these few days away will be a time of self-reflection and awareness, and of authentic connection with one another and with God.

Our Timor-Leste Immersion group has returned home with full hearts and memories to last a lifetime. The hospitality that the Timorese people are so renowned for was warmly extended our pilgrims throughout their, most notably in the way schools welcomed them with such joy and respect. The immersion group shared a meal (and plenty of music) with the Marist Brothers community in Baucau, helping strengthen the connection between our two communities.
The immersion owed much to the wonderful Sebas Santos: guide, interpreter and living saint. A huge thank you to staff members Lucy and Jorge for leading our Year 11, to the families of our students for your trust and support, and to the students themselves who had the courage to take a step into the unfamiliar with such openness of heart.
Our community looks forward to hearing more about their experiences on immersion in the weeks ahead.
