We kick started Book Week with our Buddy Reading and Sharing Lunch. Students came together with their buddies to share a book, talk about their favourite stories and enjoy lunch together. This was a lovely opportunity for our older and younger students to build connections, share their reading experiences and create special memories together.

As part of our Book Week celebrations, our students had the wonderful opportunity to meet Josh Pyke, musician and author, through a virtual session sponsored by the State Library of Victoria. Students were inspired by Josh’s creativity and had the opportunity to help write a song, share ideas and discuss what it takes to create a song. It was a fantastic experience that demonstrated how stories, music and words can come together to spark creativity and imagination.

As part of our Book Week celebrations, our students enjoyed a wonderful visit to Clayton Library, where they met illustrator and teacher Keith McDougall and explored how illustrations bring stories to life.

Students also enjoyed listening to a story read by Wendy, our Clayton Librarian, who warmly welcomed our students and shared her love of reading.

A big thank you to Keith McDougall , Wendy Bronqueur  and the Clayton Library team for inspiring our students and helping us celebrate the joy of books, stories and imagination!

What a wonderful Symphony of Stories! Our very own Ms Margaret delighted students by bringing some fabulous stories to life through her musical instrument.

A beautiful celebration of storytelling, music and culture, reminding us that stories can be shared and experienced in so many wonderful ways!

Thank you, Ms Margaret, for sharing your talents and adding a special rhythm to our Book Week celebrations!
