Child Safeguarding

VOLUNTEER PROCESS REVIEW AND UPDATE: 

At St Mary’s, we are currently reviewing our volunteer induction process to create a more streamlined and efficient experience for all families and community members wishing to support our school. 

As part of this updated process, volunteers will be required to complete an online induction module, which takes approximately 30 minutes, and provide a current Working with Children Check. Following this, referee checks will be conducted and, once completed, volunteers will be cleared to assist at school events and activities. 

We encourage all families to complete these steps so you can continue to be involved in future events and opportunities within our school community. Ensuring child safety remains a top priority at SME, and these processes help us maintain a safe and supportive environment for all learners.
