Message from the Principal
St Peter’s School - an empowered faith community to enrich the world.
Welcome back to Term 3!
We welcome three new families this week: Ridley (3/4R) and Tanner (5 /6V), Ashia (1/2 L) and Tony (Foundation). I know that you will give them a warm St Peter's welcome when you see them.
Thank you for your support on our new processes of entering and exiting the school. Our priority is the safety of everyone and I urge all drivers to please follow all road signs. Rose St is a one way street at school drop off and pick up time. Please do not enter Rose St from Mary St. Please do not complete a U turn on Rose St. This causes congestion and risks to our community members.
Please also follow 'no parking' signs. The council were out on Tuesday issuing tickets to those not following the road signs.
Our swimming program commences on Tuesday 21 July and will run daily until Thursday 30 July.
Students will be transported by bus to the Doug Ellis Swimming Pool, 36 Scenic Boulevard, Clayton.
Students needs to wear their bathers to school and should bring a bag that contains:
For safety reasons no watches or jewellery (including earrings) are to be worn and long hair must be tied up. Please ensure that all belongings are clearly named.
If you are able to help at the pool, please let your class teacher know. Any volunteers must have a current Working With Children Check and signed the Parent Code of Conduct.
Lesson times are:
Years 1/2: 9:30 am - 10:15am
Years 3/4: 10:15am - 11:00am
Years 5/6: 11:00am - 11:45am
Foundation: 11:45am - 12:30pm
with students leaving school approximately 30 minutes before their lesson time.

Please read our Learning and Teaching page for more details regarding Student Led Learning Conversations.
That time of year has come round again where I am budgeting for next year. It is really important that you let us know if your plans include moving away from St Peter's School. Please email office@spclayton.catholic.edu.au by 31 July to let us know if your child will not be returning in 2027.
We realise that plans change, but we ask that as soon you know (if you are looking at buying a house, job location will be moving...), then please let us know.

Students have begun practising for our concert which will be held on Tuesday 1 September at Sacred Heart College, Oakleigh. Keep an eye out for an email detailing costume requirements for your child landing in your inbox soon!
This is a great occasion to share the creative talents of our students and we look forward to sharing this event with you all!
Tickets for the event will go on sale soon!
If you have a child, or have a friend with a child, eligible for Foundation in 2027, please complete an enrolment form as soon as possible. We are nearing capacity!!
