LMR Year 8 Boys Basketball

Our LMR Year 8 Boys Basketball team hit the court with enthusiasm, taking on some very tall and talented opposition! The competition was so tall they even made Archie look small!
Our first game against Victory Christian College, the boys fought hard but went down 64 – 12. One of Victory’s players even managed to dunk — yes, a Year 8 who can dunk! Who knew that was possible?
Their second game saw the boys face another powerhouse in Irymple Secondary College, who again was a very tall and skilled team. The boys gave it everything, showing great spirit, eventually going down 64 – 17.
Despite the tough competition, everyone had a fantastic day representing the College. A big well done to Blaz, Caleb, Will, Ryan, Archie, Tyler, and Elvis for their effort and sportsmanship throughout the day, and for their commitment to training hard in the lead-up to the event.
A special shout-out to our team manager and assistant coach Oli, who scored his first ever basketball game — a great achievement in itself!
A massive thank-you to all the parents and friends who came along to cheer from the sidelines — your support made the day even better!
And finally, huge thanks to Mr P, Miss M, and Mr McCallum for making the day possible. We can’t wait to see what 2026 brings!
