Arriving on time to school
We have seen an alarming trend of students arriving to school late this term. This has been reflected in our data, one of our expected behaviours is ‘I will arrive on time ready to learn’ has been our focus behaviour on two occasions this term. Meaning it has become our least achieved expected behaviour from our SWPBS Matrix. A student that is late to school causes several flow on effects, such as an interruption to class when the student arrives and having to re-teach the lesson to the late student. Can I please ask our parents and carers to do every thing they can to ensure / assist our students to get to school on time.
Lost Jumpers
With the weather warming up we are finding jumpers left in the yard. Unfortunately, they are often not labelled and end up in 'Lost Property'. When unclaimed the jumpers are then handed over to the Uniform Shop for resale. Please label you child's jumper.
Hats - Term 1 and 4
Just a reminder to all students that hats are required to be worn during break times in Term 1 and 4. Hats must be either a bucket or broad brim hat with a school logo. Students without a hat:
1) Will be sent to either the Library (if open), College Café (secondary) or the McKenzie Chalmers Primary Centre (primary) during that break time.
2) A Compass chronicle will be made by the teacher for being out of uniform that is made visible to parents / carers.
3) Will be placed on a lunchtime detention with Mr Lockhart, that will run every Friday.
4) 50 burn bucks removed from the students Burn Buck account for not fulfilling the expected behaviour of ‘I will wear my school uniform'.
