HEART Award: Honesty, Empathy, Acceptance, Respect and Trust

Congratulations to Jane for winning the Heart Award. This award is voted for by the students. Normally, we announce this at the Graduation ceremony, however, this year, of the 17 students who were present to vote, Jane featured in 13 people's votes, therefore, the students themselves all were very clear on who should win this award.
To be so strongly nominated by your peers demonstrates incredible excellence and such outstanding recognition that they see this little things Jane does.
Jane is a quiet person, very strong academically and always kind. However, what se should be most proud of this year is how she found her voice, and spoke up in front of the group more often.
I was so proud of the Year 6 students for the consideration they gave the award. They really provide thoughtful reflections, with one of my favourite ones being from Anna in recognition of Lea saying: Lea is very inclusive and funny , she has such a welcoming and kind personality that makes you feel like you a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows and cocoa powder. :)) What this speaks to is not only the person nominated, but the depth of character of the person nominating, which I am very proud of!
Here were the reasons the students gave for voting Jane:
She is always nice , no matter who you are and she tells the truth everytime. :)
She's nice, respectful and she shows all the heart values and she is always smiling so she'd be a great person to win the award.
Because she shows the values to no matter who they are
She helps a lot of people and also is very trustworthy, she always listens to new ideas and lets other people have a voice.
Her writing is neat & her shoes are shiny every day
She is nice to everyone and accepting.
She is nice and shares kindness to everyone
Because she is always kind and caring and also she has always been a trustworthy, respectful and accepting person.
Because she is kind to others and she is fun to be around.
I've never seen Jane be rude nor selfish. She's always and continuously the most respectful kid in the school. All the things that was needed for the values is exactly anyone could describe Jane.
She is really honest and she respects everyone and she always positive she never gets upset.
