ProsPER Youth Advisory Group
On Saturday 8 November, students from THS took part in the ProsPER Youth Advisory Group meeting at Invercauld House in Goonellabah. This initiative gathers young people to contribute their perspectives on programs designed to improve youth well-being. Our students provided insightful suggestions on topics such as mental health, education, and the creation of inclusive community spaces. The event not only nurtured their leadership abilities but also promoted active civic engagement.
Remembrance Day
On Tuesday 11 November, our leaders, accompanied by Ms Scott, proudly represented our school at the annual Remembrance Day ceremony. THS participated with great respect, laying a wreath and joining the community in moments of reflection and silence. We take pride in witnessing our young leaders embrace the significance of this day, honoring the legacy of remembrance and gratitude. Lest we forget.
Commendations are due to Mrs Marshman and Mrs Bancroft-Stuart for their exceptional work in creating the beautiful ceramic poppies displayed prominently at the front of our school!
StudentPay+ Pilot
We’re excited to share that our school has been selected to take part in a pilot of a new Student Ordering feature. This feature allows students to conveniently order their canteen meals online using their own Student Portal login.
What this means for you:
• You’ll still be able to view and top up your child’s balance as usual through StudentPayPlus in the Sentral for Parents app.
• Students can now place their meal orders through the Student Portal making it easier to plan meals and reduce queues at the canteen.
• Orders placed by students will appear in your StudentPayPlus account for visibility and payment tracking.

School Based Apprenticeship
Hats off to Riley Blewitt, who's just landed a school-based apprenticeship in Certificate III in Sports Turf Management at the Tenterfield Golf Club! Time to tee off into a bright future!
Melbourne Cup
Congratulations to our best-dressed students and staff in the Melbourne Cup competition! Thank you to everyone who participated, and a special acknowledgment to the support faculty for organising the event and the staff lunch.
Halloween
A huge thank you to staff & students who supported the senior's fundraiser today and came dressed in your amazing Halloween costumes. We saw some great looks and lots of festive spirit!
