Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

I trust this message finds all well. What a huge fortnight it has been at our school.

We were proud to host our Trades Centre Community Showcase, providing an opportunity for visitors to explore our impressive facilities and learn more about the practical learning pathways available at Cobram AGS. We were especially thrilled to welcome many of the businesses who consulted and worked on this project to view the finished product.

The response was overwhelming — visitors were genuinely impressed by the standard of equipment in the facility and the career opportunities it will create for young people in our region. We want to sincerely thank everyone who has contributed their expertise to this three-year project. We've relied heavily on the knowledge of local industry to ensure our students receive skills and training that translate directly into the workforce.

Looking ahead, our Junior School students will soon be participating in the Swimming Safety Program, an important initiative that supports confidence and safety in and around the water. This program is always a highlight for our younger students and aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing learning experiences that are both engaging and practical.

Finally, on Thursday 16 October, we gathered as a whole school community for a beautiful farewell Chapel Service to honour our Year 12 Class of 2025. It was an occasion of gratitude, reflection, and blessing, as we celebrated the journey of our graduating students and wished them every success for the future.

I close this report with Father Victor’s closing prayer at this service.

Almighty God we give You thanks for our Year 12 students. As they have come to the end of their time at school, and with us, their fellow students and teachers, we send them forth on their journey, in your Name.

We pray for them with all their dreams, aspirations and endeavours. May their paths be brightened with your light and love. May they go from strength to strength, in the power of your Name. We lift them to you especially, with their final examinations which will start soon, that they be successful in all that’s required of them.

We pray for their dear families and friends who support them, especially during this time of their journey. This we pray in and through the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord who is our Companion and ever present with us. Amen

With regards,

Keith Willett
