A Tribute to Parents and Families

As we commemorate the conclusion of Year 12 for our students, we not only recognise the remarkable young women receiving their graduation certificates but also acknowledge the invaluable partnership of our parent community.

As parents, you play an integral role in shaping your daughter's education. Your journey encompasses cherished moments, from cheering on Athletics Days to applauding their performances at school events and competitions. Then there are the quieter moments where your counsel helps your daughter navigate friendship changes, new learnings, and embrace a positive mindset through challenge and disappointment.  Each of these experiences contributes to her growth.

Consider the countless times your daughter turned to you with questions like, “Mum, can you check this?” or “Dad, can you help me with…?” Each enquiry, each moment of support, plays a vital role in her development. A family fridge adorned with milestones creates a beautiful tapestry of achievements that narrate her journey.

Parents, you are the everyday heroes in this Loreto story. For our Year 12 parents, whether it was remembering to sign forms, providing last-minute supplies, taxiing to and from events, packing nutritious lunches, or simply being there to listen, your support has been invaluable to your daughter. Your dedication has helped shape a confident and capable young woman, ready to take on the world.

The Graduation Dinner is as much a celebration for parents as it is for their daughters, recognising the shared journey that has led to this momentous occasion.  As we celebrate our Year 12 graduates, we also honour the community of parents who have walked alongside them.

May the relationships you have built as a parent cohort continue to flourish.

Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our Loreto Marryatville community.

Richest Blessings
