Rolling Stone Magazine visits South Oakleigh College!

On Tuesday February 27, Rolling Stone Magazine spent four hours with our Music team, creating a special two-page feature highlighting our fantastic Music program, to be featured in an issue of the Australia/New Zealand publication later this year. Five members of the Rolling Stone staff, including the magazine’s Creative Director and an ARIA-Award winning Photographer, spoke with the South Oakleigh College VCE Music Class about the benefits of Music education, career paths in the entertainment, music, art and publishing industries, and their career highlights. The magazine crew were then treated to a selection of student performances in a wide range of instrumentation and genre – and they were dazzled by the dedication and talent we have here at South Oakleigh College.

Of course, our students left a wonderful impression on the Rolling Stone crew. So impressed were they with our facilities, our students, our staff, and the atmosphere at the College – they commented that they all wished they had attended South Oakleigh College when they were growing up.

Keep an eye out for the feature in Rolling Stone’s online content, as well as in their printed magazine in stores later in the year!
