National Simultaneous Storytime

Peakhurst Public School Joins Millions for National Simultaneous Storytime!
On Wednesday, 27 May, Peakhurst Public School proudly took part in Australia's National Simultaneous Storytime, joining millions of students, teachers, and readers right across the country to share the same story at the same time.
This year's book was Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller, written by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd and illustrated by Jake A. Minton. It's a fabulous story.
Luna Roo is a rookie captain who must lead her football team, FC Outback, through a nail-biting match against Bush United, facing nerves, self-doubt, and some very formidable animal opponents along the way. With its action-packed rhymes, humorous characters, and a big-hearted message about courage, teamwork and believing in yourself, it was the perfect story to share together.
It was a wonderful reminder of the magic that happens when we all stop, sit down, and lose ourselves in a great book, and the students of Peakhurst PS loved being part of that moment alongside so many other Australians.
