PRINCIPAL

Welcome back to Term 2. It has been wonderful to see our students return this week full of energy, enthusiasm, and purpose. I'm pleased to see the positive start to the term, and I thank both students and staff for helping make it run smoothly and safely.

I am also very pleased to share that I will continue as the substantive Principal of the College. I am incredibly excited to continue leading this remarkable school community and to build on the strong foundations already in place. It is a privilege to work alongside such dedicated staff and students, and I look forward to the journey ahead.

In addition, I welcome Leanne Sjollema to the College in her role as Vice Principal. Leanne brings a wealth of experience, having worked across two other WACOAs, and a real focus on student wellbeing, great teaching, and teamwork.  I know she will be a valued member of our leadership team, and I ask the community to join me in welcoming her to the College.

ANZAC

As we move through this first week, we pause to acknowledge an important moment on our national calendar. Our ANZAC Day Service was held this morning in the gymnasium, providing students and staff with an opportunity to reflect on the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have served our country. I thank the students for their approach on this occasion, with respect and gratitude, as we honoured the ANZAC spirit. 

We sincerely thank Cr John Bromham from the Harvey Shire for taking the time to speak to our students about ANZAC during the service.

Harvey Show

This weekend also sees the Harvey Show, a highlight on the local calendar that provides a wonderful opportunity for students and families to connect with the broader community. For those students living locally and those staying on site, I hope you enjoy the show.

As we embark on Term 2, I look forward to another productive term and thank you for your ongoing support of our College.
