It has been a great start to the term, with everyone returning well rested and in good spirits, looking forward to Term 2.
After‑School Training
It has been very busy in and around the residence, with students involved in local sport and training sessions in preparation for Country Week in the final week of term. This is always an exciting time for both students and staff.
This year, as in previous years, we have many students keen to compete; however, the number of participants we can take is limited. We consider training attendance and commitment to the sport, along with attitude, behaviour, and cooperation with teammates and staff who have volunteered their time to run training sessions, in our team selection. We thank everyone for their efforts, and wish all students the very best of luck.
Art Class
Students have also been busy in art classes, with some painting underway to be displayed at the Harvey Show.

ANZAC / Harvey Show
This weekend, being a long weekend straight up, is a very strange start to the term. We also have the ANZAC Day march in Harvey, where our students and staff will represent the College on Saturday morning.
On Saturday evening, the Harvey Show officially begins, and students staying on site will attend to enjoy the fireworks display. We will also be hosting the visiting Cattle Club team from Narrogin Ag College, who will be spending the night with us.
Pool Comp
Mr Horsley has commenced the preliminaries for the annual pool competition, and I am certain it will be hotly contested over the coming months.
Netball
Trials for the netball team to represent the College in the local competition at the Harvey Rec Centre took place this week. This will once again be a great opportunity to represent Harvey Ag within the local community.

Cooler Weather is Coming
Just a reminder that as we enter the cooler months, it is very important to take extra care with personal hygiene practices. This includes regular handwashing, covering the mouth when coughing or sneezing, and staying warm with jumpers and other appropriate clothing. It is also a good time to check that wet‑weather gear is ready, as work on the farm continues even when the weather is less than ideal.
