GRIP Leadership Conference

The GRIP Leadership Conference on the 25th of March was a great opportunity for our school leaders, such as the SRC representatives and leadership teams, to participate in. It gave us a fun and practical way to build our leadership skills.
One of the best parts was making new connections with students from other schools. It was nice to step out of our usual group and meet new people who were just as keen on leadership as we were.
We also got to choose different electives that covered various leadership perspectives. This let us pick topics we were interested in and learn in a way that suited us, whether it be focusing on building and maintaining strong, healthy relationships with peers or learning how to make a school event successful.
The ‘loud noise’ sessions were definitely a highlight. The energy in the room was amazing, with everyone getting involved and working together to tackle the challenges. It was loud, bold, and a lot of fun, but it really showed how important teamwork and communication are when it comes to overcoming and dealing with challenges.
Overall, GRIP was an enjoyable and inspiring day. It left me feeling more confident and motivated as a leader. Thanks again to Ms Muirhead and Miss Wigg for making it such a memorable day!
