Netball

Congratulations to the eight students who participated in the SA School Sport Statewide Knockout Final on Friday, 28 August, at the Lights Community and Sports Centre.

Throughout the day, the team competed against three other schools in the Small Schools Championship. In their first match, they played a competitive West Beach Primary and lost 14–6. Their second match resulted in a draw against St John the Apostle School, and they narrowly lost their third match by one goal to St David’s Parish School.

In their final match, the team faced St John the Apostle School once more, this time securing an impressive 15–12 win to finish third overall. 

Well done to Ruby, Tilly, Klara, Layla, Maddi, Mabel, Shae, and Jemima for their fantastic efforts throughout the day.

A sincere thank you to Hayley Moulds and Mignon Johansen for coaching, and to Jo Cox for umpiring. We also appreciate all the families who came to support the team on the day.

Lightning Carnival

On Thursday, 10 September, thirty students attended St Francis de Sales College to participate in the Lightning Carnival. 

This event aims to promote physical activity and provides a fun, inclusive environment where students can compete in a non-competitive sports setting. Students took part as members of either a netball or 9-a-side football team.

All students enjoyed the day, participating alongside friends in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Thank you to our helpers, Mignon Johansen and Beau Griffiths, for their valuable support on the day.
